Learn to Swim

YMCA opens new Swim School at Eastern Bays Swim School located at Sacred Heart College Glen Innes.

Payments:
Lessons must be paid for at the time of booking. All fees must be paid prior to the first lesson. A class position is not confirmed until payment is received.
The following payment methods are accepted
- Cash
- Eftpos
- Cheque (with identification)
- Credit card (visa, mastercard)

Accessing the Centre:
An entry card will be provided and must be used to gain access to the centre for to the centre for your lessons. Pleas swipe your card at reception. Please advise reception if you loose your access card.

Refunds:
No refunds are given on any classes.

Cancellations
Once you have booked and paid, your lessons are confirmed. Under special circumstances, a credit may be requested in exchange for lessons at a later date. All requests must be in writing stating your special circumstances. This letter will be passed to the Manager and your request will be considered. You will be notified by the Manger once a decision is made. A cancellation will incur a $20.00 booking fee and the cost of any lessons already missed.

Medical Conditions:
Please let us know if your child has a medical condition (physical or behavioural) that could effect their ability at swimming lessons. This will assist us in providing the best learning environment. If a medical condition prevents your child from completing their lessons you must provide Y-Swim School with a copy of the medical certificate before a credit will be considered.
Y-Swim School do not provide makeup classes.

Sickness:
Please inform us of you or your child's sickness prior to their lesson time.

Public Holidays:
There are no lessons during public holidays or Christmas holidays.

Pool Closure:
Y-Swim School reserves the right to move or cancel classes.

Instructor changes:
Y-Swim School reserves the right to change an instructor due to illness or special circumstances.

Diarrhea (Faecal) and Vomitting
New Zealand standards state the rules in which pool operators must comply, should an accident occur in the pool. The accidents include vomiting and diarrhea(faecal) in the pool. To ensure patients safety and comfort, please ensure you and or your child are in good health and have been to the toilet prior to your lesson.

Pool Alone policy:
YMCA Pools are poolsafe acreditted and enforce the pool alone policy

"all children under the age of 8 must be actively supervised by a person 16 years and over".

In the event of an emergency
In the event of a emergency please follow the instructions of your swim instructor and facility staff.
